Macie Lee (Hart) Rice

September 14, 1924 — October 1, 2014

Macie Lee Hart Rice, 90, of Kensett, entered Heaven’s Gates Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at her residence. She was born September 14, 1924 in Kensett to the late Andrew and Rachel Hanna Hart.
Mrs. Rice was a member of Centennial Missionary Baptist Church in Kensett; a former Sunday school teacher; and a member of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she was welcomed to Heaven by ten other family members, daughters, Wilhemina Rice Underwood, Laura Rice Steel; sisters, Rogene Black, Geraldene Payne, Drucille Hart, Vivren Hart Brown, Delois Hart; brother, David Hart; and granddaughters, Sandra Hudson Crosby and Nora Lee Nance.
She leaves to cherish her memory, husband Adell Rice of the home; daughters, Ardell Rice Nance and husband Johnny of Lincoln, Nebraska, Linda Rice Branch of Kensett, and Shirley Ann Rice of Washington, DC; one Aunt, Rev. Anna Goodlow; one brother, Rev. James Hart and wife Lucille of West Point, and sister, Mattie Hart Young of Little Rock, Arkansas; eighteen grandchildren, fifty-three great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 8 at Centennial Missionary Baptist Church in Kensett.  Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 9 at the Church with Rev. Thomas Sutton officiating.  Interment will follow at Crow Cemetery.
