Mable Ruth Oliver O'Banion

Mable Ruth Oliver O'Banion, 82, of Kingsland passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 at her home. She was born March 17, 1934 in Bucksnort, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Edgar and Ida Shackelford Oliver. Mrs. O'Banion was a retired employee of Fordyce Picture Frame. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin O'Banion Sr.; three sisters, Frances Woodson, Cora Smith, Callie Hawk; four brothers, Otis Oliver, Phillip Oliver, Millard Oliver, Harry Oliver and one great granddaughter, Heaven Lee Harris.

Survivors include one daughter, Lena (Thomas) Whisenhunt of Dierks; one son, Charles (Kathryn) O'Banion Jr. of Kingsland; three grandsons, Chris (Narissa) Whisenhunt of Hot Springs, Steven (Denise) Whisenhunt of Dierks, Bartley Reeme of Kingsland; four granddaughters, Dana Whisenhunt of Horatio, Kimberly O'Banion of Kingsland, Kaylee Reeme of Fordyce, Jamie (Casey) Williams of Minden, Louisiana; three great grandsons; nine great granddaughters; one sister, Lucille Williams of Fordyce; two brothers, David Oliver of Bastrop, Louisiana, Joe Carroll of Cape Gerardo, Missouri

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Kingsland Assembly of God Church with Brother Chris Whisenhunt and Brother Charley Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Cross Roads Cemetery in Kingsland. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Steven Whisenhunt, Bartley Reeme, Cole Whisenhunt, Phillip Reeme, Tracy Carlson, Casey Jackson, Donnie McClellan and Jermey Jones. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
