Lyda B. Hatcher, 93, of Little Rock, formerly of Hensley died Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Arkansas Hospice Center in Little Rock. Mrs. Hatcher was born September 18, 1914 in the Landmark Community in Pulaski County, a daughter of the late Thomas Ross and Addie Lee Crawford Palmer. She was a retired inspector with the Coca Cola Bottling Company and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hatcher was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cohin Allen Hatcher; grandson, Dr. Richard Clark Ruble II; great-granddaughter, Joy Ruble; two brothers; three sisters.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Frankie Marie and LeRoy Smith of Center Ridge, Arkansas, Barbara Annette and Richard Ruble of Russellville, Pamela Jo and Len Springer of Maumelle; two sisters, Nettie Schmeckenbecher of Little Rock, Ruby Peri of West Palm Beach, Florida; six grandchildren, Boyce Smith, Becky Ward, Kay Houck, Rusty, Randy and Rod Ruble; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Bethel United Methodist Church in the Ico Community near Sheridan with Reverend Albert Marlar and Reverend Rod Ruble officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the church. Pallbearers are: B.J. Smith, Daniel Smith, Dustin Ward, Davis Ward, Clark Ruble, and Cohin Ruble. Honorary Pallbearers are the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church or Arkansas Hospice. Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
