Lula Louise Veazey Clarke

Lula Louise Veazey Clarke, known as Jackie, age 92, passed July 7, 2024. She was born in Sheridan, Arkansas, raised her family in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and retired in Columbia, Louisiana. She returned to Sheridan after the passing of her beloved husband, Jack D. Clarke.

She enjoyed family, church, writing, drawing, and music. She was known for her green thumb, and hospitality and avid faith in Christ Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Toncie Veazey; daughter, Michele Denise Clarke; and her husband, Jack Davitt Clarke.

She is dearly missed by her sister Eunice Dreher, her children Kevin and Diane Clarke, Tammy and Thomas Creed, and Patricia and Danny Lowery. As well as her many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2024, at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, Louisiana.
