Lucille Willie Wilson

Lucille Willie Wilson, 96, of Prattsville died Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at the Sheridan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sheridan. She was born January 14, 1912 in Prattsville, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Dee and Emma Ashley Bennings. Mrs. Wilson attended Sweet Home School in Prattsville and was a lifelong member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church. In 1954 she married Loyd Wilson in Pine Bluff who preceded her in death. Mrs. Wilson was also preceded in death by her sister, Elba Shoptaw; three brothers, Leland Bennings, Alvin and Albert Buie; step-father, Roy Buie; niece, Betty Jo Smith.

She is survived by her brother, David Buie of Prattsville; four nieces, Natha Lee Stuckey, Bernice Heaton, Doris Reynolds, Davalene Warner; six nephews, Robert and James Buie, Billy Lee and Clarence Bennings, Don and Lewis Shoptaw; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Sheridan with Brother Don Goodman officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2008 at the funeral home. Pallbearers are: Mark Bennings, Victor Smith, Blake Carr, Mike Shoptaw, Bobby Shoptaw, Tim Stuckey, and Gary Reynolds. Honorary pallbearer is: Dewayne Smith.
