Loyd Bradley

Loyd Bradley, age 81, of Woodlawn, died Saturday, April 20, 2013. He was born October 9, 1931 in Cleveland County a son of the late Clifton and Dorothy Wells Bradley. Mr. Bradley attended Woodlawn High School. He served in the United States Army, and retired from the Arkansas State Forestry Commission after twenty five years of service. He was a mason, member of Culpepper Masonic Lodge # 186, and had received his fifty year pin. Mr. Bradley was a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by one brother, June Bradley; two sisters, Mildred Mars and Elizabeth Carroll. Mr. Bradley is survived by his wife, Faye Simms Bradley of Woodlawn, whom he married in 1954; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Debbie Bradley of Rison, Dennis Bradley of Pine Bluff; three brothers, Joe Bradley of Rison, Kenneth Bradley of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Fred Bradley of Mt. Ida; three sisters, Billie Glover of Claredon, Nola Rushing of Randall and Charlotte Munn of Rison; four grandchildren, Marlene Wilcox, Jody Porter, Jason Bradley and Ashley Boyd; four great grandchildren. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Center Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Doney Blackerby officiating. Burial will follow in Rowell Cemetery. Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Marvin Rawls, Harry Phelps, Danny Jacks, Jerry Pennington, Bob Terry and Allan Wilson. Memorials may be made to the Rowell Cemetery Association, C/o Mrs. Hazel Kesterson, 12740 Highway 63 South, Rison, Arkansas 71665. Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
