Louise Phillips

Louise Henderson Phillips age 93 of Rison, formerly of Calmer, died Sunday, December 13, 2009 at the Cleveland County Nursing Home. She was born January 17, 1916 in Calmer, a daughter of the late R. F. and Florence Berry Henderson. Mrs. Phillips married Oren Phillips on February 8, 1941. She was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Oren Phillips; sister, Eva Broach; brother, Russell Henderson.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Delores and Frank Wilson of Rison, Catherine and Zafer Fahoum of Tumwater, Washington, Jeannie and Ron Bauer of Rockwall, Texas; two sisters and brother-in-law, Jeanelle Martin, Gloria Faye and J. L. Johnston all of Rison; nine grandchildren and spouses, Yousef Fahoum (Kari) of Tumwater, Washington, Dr. Mona Fahoum-Bicknese (Schaun) of Shoreline, Washington, Nujoud Merancy (John) of Houston, Texas, Amira Fahoum-Thompson (Michael) of Springfield, Oregon, Harrell Wilson (Holley) of Rison, Melanie Tilley (Alex) of Rison, Jeremy Wilson (Rachel) of Monticello, Rachel Tonick (Grant) of Houston, Texas, Luke Leamons of Arkadelphia; nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Lanis Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery at Woodlawn. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Donations may be made to the charity of choice.
