Louie Bass, age 83, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, July 28, 2014 at JRMC. He was born November 5, 1930 in Lake Village, a son of the late Charlie B. Bass and Ruby Pansy Bass. Mr. Bass was the retired owner and operator of Bass Tree Service for over forty years. He was a Baptist and loved his family dearly. Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy L. Bass in July 1, 2012; three sisters; one brother; and a great-grandson, Aron Durham. Survivors include two sons, Louie E. Bass of Pine Bluff and William "Bubba" Bass and wife, Amanda of Pine Bluff; four daughters, Nancy Bobb and husband, Kel of Rowell, Brenda Golden and husband, John of Pine Bluff, Nina Brown and husband, Joseph of Pine Bluff, and Jeanette Skinner of Englewood, Florida; one step-son, Ronald Robertson and wife, Sarah of West Virginia; one step-daughter, Teresa Miller and husband, Terry of Charleston, West Virginia; three brothers, Jerry Bass of Pine Bluff, Eddie Charles Bass of Bastrop, Louisiana, and Grover Bass of Nashville, Arkansas; two sisters, Anita Chandler of Rison and Dora May of Arkansas; twenty-three grandchildren, Samuel Robertson, Teagan Miller, Terynn Miller, Alissa Minchew, Tristen Bobb, Cabella Bobb, Carrie Brock, Nina Durham, Chad Lester, Kimberly Laflora, Ricky Taylor, Louie E. "Bubba" Bass Jr., Joey Bass, Keisha Bass, Rebecca Bass, Kayla Bass, Nachelle Bass, Katrina Sprinkle, Amanda Allen, Mareesha Brown, Christena Brown, Makirah Brown, and Jeffery Weishiemer; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Memorial services are 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 1, 2014 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Doney Blackerby officiating. Visitation will be prior to the memorial service beginning at noon.
