Linda Dean (Richardson) Taylor

Linda was the 6th and youngest child born on March 14,1949 at Warren, Arkansas to the late J.Q. and Dean Powers Richardson. She left this old world to join Jesus, her family and her true love, Carey in Heaven on April 5, 2024 at the age of 75. Preceding her in death are her two brothers Joe Richardson and Rex Richardson and sisters Betty Jacks, Macel Ashcraft, and Louise Jacks and also her husband Carey “Red” Taylor who passed away on November 5, 2023 who was the love of her life, her rock and her best friend .

Linda graduated an honor student in 1967 from Woodlawn High School and attended business school in Little Rock and was employed by several businesses such as Harlow Sanders Cotton, Simmons Bank, England Packing and retired from Arkansas Department of Human Services. She was a lifetime member of Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church where she played the piano for many years, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and helped in Vacation Bible School.

Her favorite activities were hunting, shopping with her girls, taking trips with Carey, square dancing and camping, making her famous buttermilk biscuits and banana pudding. Her favorite hobby was going to yard sales along with other places collecting Coca Cola items and anything with Santa on it. Her favorite time was Christmas and displaying her beautiful decorations. She was a lady that was mild and meek and always had a big beautiful smile and a kind word in which she tried to instill in her girls right along with the phrase “pretty is as pretty does”.

She is survived by two daughters Stacey Hankins and husband Scott, and Devin Kearney and husband Joe all of Woodlawn , grandchildren are Zach Blevins, Lindsey Blevins, Luke Hankins, Miles Hargrave and Emmitt Hargrave and one great granddaughter Audrey Lynn Mounts.

There will be a visitation on Sunday April 7, 2024 from 2:00p.m to 3:00 p.m. with funeral services at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow at Prosperity Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Scott Hankins, Joe Kearney, Zack Blevins, Luke Hankins, Miles Hargrave, and Emmitt Hargrave
