Linda Denise Jones

Linda Denise Jones, age 52, of Woodlawn, died Saturday, April 20, 2013. She was born February 17, 1961 in Great Lakes, Illinois, a daughter of the late Hershel and Vera Cousineau Collier. Mrs. Jones graduated from Oktaha High School and Connors University in Warner, Oklahoma. She enjoyed diamond hunting and loved rodeos, horseshows and barrel racing. Mrs. Jones had numerous awards and titles in horse training and barrel racing. She was a homemaker and owner of JLJ Farms. Mrs. Jones was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Alice Mae Collier. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, Julian Jones of Woodlawn, whom she married on March 14, 1986; son, Justin Carl Jones of Woodlawn; sister, Gini Barnett of Waverly, Missouri; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services are 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Flat Creek Cemetery in Fountain Hill with Reverend Garry Wiles officiating. Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
