Leo Charles Read

Leo Charles Read, 91, of Sheridan, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Sheridan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born August 1, 1916 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to the late Charles E. Read and Lula Louise Wilcox Read. Mr. Read was a machinist with Jacuzzi Brothers Company in Little Rock for over 25 years. He attended Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan. Mr. Read was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Mrs. Odie Lee Read; son, Charles Read.

Mr. Read is survived by his daughter, Sara Rita Smith of Pine Bluff; three step-sons, H. Gene Manning, Larry Joe Manning both of Conway, James Michael Manning of Sheridan; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren;

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Sheridan with Brother Jim Wagner officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Tree Cemetery in Stuttgart.
