Brother Leo "Count-Cool-Out" Morris Jr. was born November 27, 1956 to the late Leo Morris, Sr. and Mary Frances Morris. He attended Fordyce High School. He departed this life Saturday, July 14, 2012 in the comfort of his home with family and love ones. Brother Leo and his wife Sister Marcia gave their lives to the Lord under the leadership of Elder Frank Phillips Jr. He was a member of the Tate Temple Church of God in Christ. He loved his Pastor, First Lady and the Tate Temple family and they loved him. He had a special friendship with Deacon Louis Releford. He developed a very special relationship with Mother Bennie Turner. She visited with him every day or every other day during his sickness. Mother Turner would come with words of encouragement. Many times Brother Leo wanted to discuss the word so they would feast on the word of the Lord. Brother Leo was joined in Holy Matrimony to Marcia Wainwright, December 3, 1999; however, they were together for 30 years. Brother Leo and Sister Marcia both brought one child into the relationship and had one born to their union. Brother Leo was preceded in death by his father, Leo Morris Sr., a brother, David Morris, a sister, Diane Morris-Starks and a niece, Helen Morris. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his devoted wife and friend, Sister Marcia Morris of Rison; his mother, Mrs. Mary Francis Morris of Fordyce; two sons, Jerome Morris of Fordyce and Leo Morris III of Rison; one daughter, Rhonda Wainwright of Rison; five brothers, James Morris, Willie Morris and Andrew Morris, all of Fordyce, Arkansas, Gerald Morris of Little Rock, Arkansas, Ray Morris of St. Louis, Missouri; three sisters, Betty Jean Morris of St. Louis, Missouri, Barbara Ann Harris of Sikeston, Missouri, and Mary Jackson of Childester, Arkansas. Brother Leo's in laws were like his own siblings; his sisters-in- law, Exola Davis, Fannie Hicks, Ora Lee (GL) Langford, and Clestine Brown all of Rison; Tammy Eddington of Fordyce, Arkansas and Pearl Harris of Monticello, Arkansas; five brothers-in-law, Hoarce (Deatrice) Wainwright of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, GW Wainwright, Steve Wainwright Sr., Joshua Wainwright, Veodis (Felicia) Wainwright, all of Rison, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Alexis Wainwright, Dantrez Wainwright, Arinna Deshayre Morris and Kymira Wainwright all of Rison. He had a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services are 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Tate's Temple Church of God in Christ with Elder Frank Phillips Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery in Fordyce. Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 20, 2012 at Buie Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Travis Bell, Michael Bowlin, Benny Bunton, Toney Fletcher, Kevin McCloud and Brigham Watson. Honorary pallbearers are Akeema Coleman, Ulyss Davis, Antwoine Gray, G. W. Smith, Steve Wainwright, Tevin Wainwright and James L. Gray. Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
