Laura Brown

Laura Brown, age 38 of the Macedonia Community near Rison, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at her home. She was born November 5, 1972, in Andrews, Texas, a daughter of the late Lawrence Dennis and Glenna Andrews Dennis. Mrs. Brown was a 1993 graduate of Rison High School. She was a homemaker and member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown loved her family, flower garden, fishing, and enjoyed reading and painting. Mrs. Brown was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Glenna Andrews, Daisy Dennis and Raymond Dennis.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, James Brown; son, Bradley Brown; daughter, Katie Brown, all of Macedonia; brother, Jim Dennis of Malvern; grandfather, John Andrews of Rison.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Brother James Wehunt and Brother Wade Totty officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Chris Billings, Jeremy Billings, Justin Billings, Ben Leopard, Kyle Leopard, Tony Andrews, Eric Andrews.
