Kenneth Davis

Kenneth A. Davis age 76 of the Herbine Community near Rison, died Monday, May 31, 2010 at Baptist Health Center in Little Rock. He was born January 29, 1934 in the Herbine Community, a son of the late Ben Wheeler Davis and Claudie Mae Ashcraft Davis. Mr. Davis graduated from Rison High School in 1952, was a carpenter and millwright. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd (Pete), James and Royce Davis; one sister, Imogene Davis Fultz; a nephew, Raymond Doyle Davis; a niece, Vicki Lynn Davis Codre.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of fifty four years, Charlotte Davis of Herbine, whom he married on February 4, 1956; four children and their spouses, Jeffrey and Peggy Davis of Herbine, Pam Davis of Little Rock, Angela McClain of Little Rock, Kent Davis of Pine Bluff; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Steven Davis, Chris Davis, Michael Burton and Carly McClain of Herbine, Bart and Hannah Terry of the Macedonia Community, Janet and Kenny May of Little Rock, Jaylynn Davis of Pine Bluff; two great grandchildren, Linzee Davis, Judd Terry of Rison; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Prosperity Cemetery with Brother Wade Totty officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Rison.
