Kathy Joann Apfel

Kathy Joann (Smoot) Apfel rejoined her late husband, Bruce Apfel, Friday, April 19, 2024. Kathy is the daughter of James and Bessie Helen Smoot of Rison, AR whom she is also reunited with.

Kathy left behind two daughters, Shelly Mitchell (Michael Dodson) of Sheridan , AR and Laura Langley (Anthony Langley) of Pottsville, AR, three grandchildren, Stormie, Matthew, and Trystan. She retired from England High School in 2014, where she worked as the ISS supervisor. Kathy enjoyed shopping and spending time with her kids and spoiling her grands.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, at Wilson Cemetery in Rison.
