Karen Tillman

Karen Lynn Wylie Tillman of Searcy, Arkansas passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024. She was born on December 25, 1949 in Lilbourn, Missouri to Dewel “Edsel” Wylie and Doris Louise Kesler Wylie.  Karen’s true joy was her family!  A special joy came with the birth of her grandson Erik this past year. She was devoted to making everyone she knew feel loved and special. In her active years she enjoyed decorating their home to host many wonderful home cooked meals for her family and friends. She and her husband spent countless hours in their home with Chinese students attending Harding.  She loved flowers, collectables, shopping, and reading. She attended College Church of Christ in Searcy for many years. Ms.Tillman received her education from Harding University. She was a substitute teacher at Searcy Public School District.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Kenneth R. Tillman.

She is survived by her son, Jared Tillman and wife, Whitney of Austin, Texas, daughter, Allison Tillman of Searcy, Arkansas, sisters, Sharon Collom and husband, Paul, Terry Figley and husband, Allen, both of Searcy. One sister in law, Laura Tillman, and one grandson, Erik Tillman of Austin, Texas, and multiple nieces and nephews.
