June Thomas

E. June Doyle Thomas,  went to be with the Lord on August 13, 2018 at her home in Vilonia, Arkansas at the age of 92. June was born on June 7, 1926 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to Jack L. and Irene Lee (Roark) Doyle. She married the love of her life on January 19, 1946, after dating for only three days. Mr. Thomas was U.S. Army, Command Sergeant major (Retired). As an army wife, she gave birth to four of her children overseas, and raised six children around the world. Regardless of where she lived, she made every house a home. Her heart and door were always open. Her family was her life. She was proud that at the time of her death, she left a legacy of five generations. June is survived by three daughters, Jackie Bishop of El Paso; Suzi Norwood (Larry) of Sherwood; Barbara Harvey (Jackie) of Prescott; two sons, Bob Thomas (Connie) of Scott; Jim Thomas of Heber Springs and a daughter-in-law, Leslie Alexander Thomas of Heber Springs; three brothers, Leon Doyle of Turtle Town, Tennessee; Lynn Doyle of Cordova, Tennessee; Larry Doyle of Centerville, Arkansas; 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and one on the way, as well as multitudes of adopted children, extended family, and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years, Fletcher Thomas; daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Benny Wayne Donaldson; son-in-law, Danny Bishop, and brother, Louis Doyle. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 - 2:00 Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Conway Cowboy Church 12 AR-36, Conway, AR 72032. A Celebration of her life will follow the visitation also at the church. With Shane Dickson, Jim Thomas and Bob Thomas officiating. Interment will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Antoine Cemetery in Antoine, AR. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Vilonia Funeral Home 1134 Main Street Vilonia, AR. 72173.
