Judy Ann (Sharp) Johnson

April 9, 1949 — April 3, 2022

Searcy

Judy Ann (Sharp) Johnson was born on Saturday, April 9, 1949 at Rodgers Hospital in Searcy, Arkansas, the daughter of Maxie E. And Jewel (Heidelberg) Sharp. She married Larry Edward Johnson on July 12, 1968. She raised her family here in White County. She also had a long career as a real estate broker, an antique collector and dealer, and interior design on many custom-built homes in Searcy.

Judy was a wife, mother, sister, and also a friend, mentor, and a wise sage on whom one could always depend. She loved to share her knowledge, especially with her grandchildren. She was truthful no matter the audience. She enjoyed reading, photography, and loved researching ancestry and family history. Her family was always the most important part of her life, and her main focus. She was a powerful and assertive woman and the matriarch of her large family. She played a mean game of Yahtzee. Her smile could light up the room. Her tight hugs offered warmth, comfort, security, and most definitely LOVE.

Judy departed this life peacefully in her sleep to go and be with the Lord on Sunday morning, April 3, 2022 at her home in Searcy, Arkansas. Survivors include her husband of over 53 years, Larry Edward Johnson; two daughters, Shelley Dietz (Patrick); Lara Johnson; one son, Larry Mitchell Johnson; seven grandchildren, Erica McConnell (Jeffrey), Patrick Jared Dietz, Josephine Stafford, Max Stafford, Ivan Johnson Choate, Laken Beebe, Alexandria Beebe; three great grandchildren, Cole, Blake, and Gracelynn; one brother, Maxie T. Sharp (Pam), and two sisters, Terri Nevins (Jon), Lisa Scott (Mike); and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Vicki Watson.

Judy loved her family with all her heart. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
