Joyce Beck

Joyce Wanda Beck, age 81, of Sheridan, Arkansas, went to be with the lord Monday, March 17, 2014. She was born October 30, 1932 to the late Sidney and Harriett (Phillips) Threlkeld. Mrs. Beck was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church, she enjoyed sewing, crafts, watching her television shows, The Price is Right, the news, and her soap operas. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and she especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Buddy" Beck; one son, Billy Miller; three brothers, Eugene, Rex and Travis Threlkeld; one nephew, Shannon Threlkeld. Mrs. Beck is survived by her children, Jimmy Miller and his wife Kathleen of Morrilton, Arkansas, Sue Nichols and her husband Kenneth of Scott, Arkansas, Brenda LeCroy and her husband Ed and Libby Skorcz and her husband Mark all of Sheridan, Arkansas; grandchildren, Tiffany, Bradley, Melissa, Lisa, Melanie, Crystal, Alissa, Sara, Charlie, Devan and Cody; great grandchildren, Trenton, Colton, Blaine, Carley, Lauren, John Robert, Remington, Michaela, Zac, Logan, Dalton, Lawson, Brendan, Angela, Chance, C.J. and Autumn. She is also survived by many extended family members and a host of friends that will miss her dearly. Visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 p. m., Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan, Arkansas. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan, Arkansas with Brother George Yarberry officiating.
