Josephine Bearden

Josephine Bearden, age 73, of Jasper, Alabama, formerly of Woodlawn died Friday, April 29, 2016 at her home. She was born on April 20, 1943 in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late Jimmy Green and Lorene Stone Norton. Mrs. Bearden was a 1961 graduate of Woodlawn High School and homemaker. She was an avid football fan and always cheering for her Arkansas Razorbacks. Mrs. Bearden enjoyed and cherished her family time, especially family gatherings and outdoor activities. Other than her grandchildren, her cats and dogs were her companions that gave her great joy. Mrs. Bearden was preceded in death by her son, Billy Taylor; two grandchildren, B. J. Poole, Samantha Poole and brother, Charles "Buster" Green.

Survivors are her four sons, Nathan Bearden and wife, Terry of Little Rock, Anthony Bearden and wife, Amy of Woodlawn, Bobby Taylor and wife, Nina of Jasper, Alabama, Jason Kulbeth and wife, Dana of Arley, Alabama; daughter, Jean Frye and husband, Wendell of Jasper, Alabama; nine grandchildren, Chad Frye, Kyle Frye, Zac Frye, Dacey Taylor, Brinley Taylor, Ambrey Taylor, Jena Brown, Bryant Kulbeth, Alyssa Jo Bearden; great granddaughter, Karymn Ivey; and sister, Helen Villerreal of Houston, Texas.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Woodlawn with Darran Kea officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Buie Funeral Chapel in Rison. Pallbearers are Eric Bomino, Brandon Hawkins, Rodney Webb, Chad Ballew, Jason Delk and Louie Hurst.
