On March 14, 2024, Joseph George Havlik (Joe) ran into the arms of his savior Jesus Christ after a long battle with respiratory problems.
Joe was born on June 4, 1943 in Carlisle AR to Michael & Florence Havlik. Though he was well traveled, he lived his entire life in Arkansas. Joe is preceded in death by his father, mother & brother. Joe leaves behind his wife, Karen Havlik, three daughters- Robin Arana (#1) of Southaven, MS; Melissa Taylor (#2) (spouse Bobby) of Nesbit, MS; and Shelly Vitton (#3) of Clinton Township, MI; Six grandchildren- Hannah Greggo of Alaska, Madeline Greggo of MI, Jacob Greggo of MI, Alexis Hectorne of MS, Andrew Joseph Vitton (Joe’s namesake) of MI, and Tripp Taylor of MS; three great grandchildren- Joesiah, Khloee, & Dallas, and his favorite dog Lucy.
After retiring as a machinist from Alcoa, Joe lived out his life with his loving wife of 40 years, Karen, on their farm in Bald Knob, AR. Joe had many interests and hobbies- fishing, camping, hunting, buying and selling, growing vegetables, watching wildlife and homesteading. He loved nature. Joe was known for being a “one of a kind” man with a huge heart. Joe loved to play practical jokes and would go to the extreme to get a laugh. He loved animals and raised many different animals throughout his life. He was a homesteader and could be found before his illness buying and selling at the local flea markets. There was nothing he could not fix or build to complete the job needed. He was one of the hardest working men around. He will be missed greatly by his friends and family, but his memory will be a blessing.
