Joseph Norwood Harper

Joe Harper age 71 of Rison, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008. He was born October 10, 1936 in Bastrop, Louisiana, a son of the late Jessie E. and Hazel Mae Eubanks Harper. Mr. Harper was a retired Security Guard for International Paper Company. He was a member of Trinity Faith Assembly of God Church. Mr. Harper was also preceded in death by his wife, Berneice Harper; one son, Thomas E. Harper; one brother, Jerry E. Harper. Mr. Harper is survived by two sons, Frankie Harper and Kevin Harper, both of Rison; two daughters, Krystal Adair of Pine Bluff, Lucy Nelson of McEwen, Tennessee; one brother, Jessie G. Harper of Ft. Smith; three grandchildren, Amanda Brown, Joshua Nelson, LeAnn Yossett; one great granddaughter, Madalyn Ranay Brown.

Graveside services are 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2008 at Greenwood Cemetery with Reverend Travis George officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.
