Johnny Bailey Yates, Jr

Johnny Bailey Yates, Jr., age 57, of Sheridan, Arkansas passed away June 8, 2013 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born May 19, 1956 in Memphis Tennessee to the late Johnny Bailey Yates, Sr. and Ruby Criswell. Johnny was employed as a truck driver in the logging industry going by the handle of "Smokehouse". He loved spending time with his family. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Adam Wayne Yates; and one brother, David Brigman. He is survived by his wife, Annette Ward Yates; three sons, J.B. Yates III (Jessica) of Sheridan, Arkansas, Jason Yates (Amber) of Prattsville, Arkansas, Johnathan Yates of Alexander, Arkansas; two stepdaughters, Alisha Ward and Savannah Ward both of Harrisburg, Arkansas; two brothers, Cleve Holland and Claude Criswell; four sisters, Dorothy Thurmond, Arleane Yates and Eileen Belt, Shelia Organ; seven grandchildren and a host of other family and friends that will miss him dearly. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home Sheridan, Arkansas with visitation from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. prior to the service with Pastor Gary Carter officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday in Hughes Cemetery Forrest City, Arkansas.
