Johnny Lee Turpin, 70, of Kensett, passed away November 16, 2016. He was born March 3, 1946 at Kensett, Arkansas to the late Leo and Beatrice Brown Turpin.
He was a 1964 graduate of Kensett High School; served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968; and prior to retiring, he was a self-employed carpenter. In his past times, he enjoyed bowling, softball, and motorcycles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, RL Heathscott and Ralph Heathscott; and sister, Vera Jean Franks.
He is survived by a daughter, Janis K. Cowles of Kensett; two sons, Jeffrey L. Turpin (Tina) of Judsonia, and Richard L. Turpin (Lisa) of Oak Harbor, Washington; grandchildren, Michael, Danielle, Kayla, Blakely, and Zachary; great grandchildren, Kellan, Kyrin, Haiden, Dylan, Everlee, Cache, Ella, and Kacer.
Visiting hours are 5-7 Friday, November 18, 2016 at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19 at White County Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
