John Joseph Williams passed away at the age of 72 in Little Rock, Arkansas on June 11, 2024. John was born on January 1, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents Roland H Williams, and Mary M Hayes Sparrow; also, his stepfather Albert William Sparrow, who he loved and admired, and his sister, Joyce K Williams Marconett. Also, his beloved pet, Daisy.
He is survived by his wife Lorita Williams, stepdaughter, Karrissa Norris, sister, Chris Shore (Don), grandsons Dylan Verdot, Tyler Verdot, Christopher Norris, and great-grandson Christopher Verdot. Also, surviving are many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Ever the salesman, he was known as a friendly and outgoing person who never met a stranger. He enjoyed striking up conversations with people, even at the auto parts store, and often turned these encounters into lifelong friendships. John had a passion for boating, golf, collecting vintage cars and guns, and cooking. Many of his friends regularly received text with pictures of his latest creations or invitations to join him for a meal. He was also known by his friends as the remote bandit and the grill master.
