John Arthur Stowell
July 23, 1946 — September 29, 2017
John Stowell Sr. 71, of Searcy, died September 29, 2017 at Unity Health in Searcy. He was born July 23, 1946 at Independence, Missouri to the late Chalmer and Mary McConnell Stowell.
He graduated high school at Yerrington Nevada and served in the Marine Corp. during Vietnam. He coached little league and peanut league baseball and CLUB soccer. He loved animals especially his cats.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Andy Stowell; one brother, Greg Stowell; and one sister.
He is survived by three sons, Mark Stowell of Searcy, William Stowell (Catherine) of Alexander, and John Stowell of Searcy; one daughter, Debbie Delosreyes of White Hall; seven grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Stowell of Independence, Missouri; two sisters, Sharon Burnett (Kenny) of Independence, Missouri, and Carol Mendenhall (Bryane) of Buhler, Kansas.
The family will have a memorial service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7 at The River Church in Judsonia.
