John Barnett Stewart

John Barnett Stewart, age 54 of Rison, died Wednesday, February 3, 2016. John was born November 8, 1961 in El Paso, Texas, to Juanice Vinson Stewart and the late Joe B. Stewart. He was employed with Lucky Chevrolet as an auto mechanic and a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his two daughters, Chelsey Stewart of Jacksonville, Cassey Stewart of Sheridan; mother, Juanice Stewart of Rison; four brothers, Rodger Stewart of Woodlawn, Gary Stewart of Rowell, Bobby Stewart of Winchester, Kentucky, Ricky Stewart Jr. of Woodlawn and four sisters, Peggy King, Becky McClain, Debbie McClain and Sherry Hoover, all of Rison.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Rison with Reverend Ricky Stewart and Reverend Kenny Swiger officiating. Interment will follow at Prosperity Cemetery in Herbine. Pallbearers are Ricky Stewart Jr., Rodger Stewart, Bobby Stewart, Gary Stewart, Charlie Hoover, Larry King and Jeremy Brann. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2016 at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
