John Michael Morris

John Morris, age 19, of Kingsland, died Tuesday, September 9, 2014. He was born September 26, 1994 in Pine Bluff, a son of Allen Ray Morris and Claudia Celeste Eastham Morris. Mr. Morris was a 2014 graduate of Rison High School where he played for the Rison Wildcat football team and he was also a member of the Watson Chapel ROTC. In his free time he always enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Morris loved being around people and especially spending time with his family. He was an active member of Double Wells Assembly of God Church. Mr. Morris is preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene Morris, Wilma Morris and David Eastham. Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Brian Morris of Kingsland and Clay Morris of Kingsland; a sister, Jessie Morris of Kingsland; a grandmother, Claudella Poteet of Jourdanton, Texas. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 12, 2014 at Double Wells Assembly of God Church with Bro. Mike Cottrell officiating, burial will follow in Fitzhugh Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tristian Ward, Nathan Wilson, Kyle Kelly, Kolton Hooks, Jordan Mason and Dustin Ratcliff. Visitation will be 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the funeral home.
