John Guthrie, 66, of Hot Springs, passed away August 9, 2019 at St. Vincent’s CHI in Hot Springs. He was born April 8, 1953 at Elaine, Arkansas to the late Ples and Johnnie Turner Guthrie.
John was a hard working man who was a Master Plumber by trade. He enjoyed watching storms, fishing, gardening and yard work. He loved God with all his heart and loved his family dearly.
He married Linda Hendricks Guthrie October 2, 1981 at Reno, Nevada; she survives. He is also survived by three daughters, Nicole Epley, Jennifer Garcia (Sally) and Lisa Kelly all of Hot Springs; eight grandchildren, Allison, Emily, Andrew, Arianna, Alexandria, Alisea, Victor, and Mavis; one great grandchild, James; two brothers, James Guthrie (Tammie) of Searcy and Jack Guthrie (Becky) of Conway; one sister, Joyce Rodriguez of Searcy; as well as many extended family and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Priscilla and brother Joseph Guthrie.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2019 in the Sullivan Memorial Chapel where funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy.
