Joe Henry Young

Joe Henry Young, 84, of Sheridan, AR, husband, father, Pappaw and friend went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2025. Joe Henry was born October 17, 1940 in Fordyce, Arkansas to the late Eli and Pearlie Young. Joe married Patsy Rogers on February 10, 1961. He was a wonderful husband who took great care of his wife of 64 years. Joe and Pat raised three children: Jerry (Darla) Young, Matt (Jeanie) Young, and Heather (Mark) Malone. He was the best Pappaw to four grandchildren: Kyle (Courtney) Young, CJ (Janelle) Young, Kristy (Caleb) Clark, and Callie (Carter) Free. He is also survived by six great-grandsons who were his pride and joy.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings: Bob Young, James, Young, and Ruth Harrod.

Joe was an active member and respected deacon of Park Place Baptist Church in Bryant, AR. He took such joy in participating and helping with various activities around the church.

Joe also met everyday at Hardee’s to sit at his “round table” with a great group of friends. They worked hard and if you listen to them, they would tell you that they could solve all of the world’s problems. Joe leaves a priceless legacy to all who knew him.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Buie & Cole Funeral Home in Sheridan.

A Celebration of Mr. Young’s Life will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2025, at Park Place Baptist Church in Bryant.
