Joe Rex Vinson

Joe Rex Vinson age 71, of the Pansy Community, died Sunday, March 21, 2010 at his home. He was born September 20, 1938 in Lincoln County, a son of the late Sid Harris Vinson and Florence Stewart Vinson. Mr. Vinson was a retired construction worker and a Baptist. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph, Bill, Joy and Bobby Vinson.

Mr. Vinson is survived by his wife, Hazel Ruth Crutchfield Vinson of Pansy, whom he married on March 14, 1969; one son, Joe W. Vinson of Benton; three daughters and sons in law, Karen Pipkin of Russellville, Shanda M. Vinson and Will Martin of Pansy, Deena M. Brown and Brandon of Bentonville; one brother, Kenneth Vinson of Little Rock; two sisters, Dorothy Emmick of Woodland, Texas and Lenda Harrod of Emerson; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel in Rison with Brother Doney Blackerby officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 10:00a.m.until 11:00 a. m. prior to the service. Pallbearers are Chad Herman, Greg Spakes, Ray Gavin, Roger Harris, Chad Hankins, and Roger Stewart.
