Joe E. Richardson

Joe E. Richardson, age 79 of Rowell, died, Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Bradley County Medical Center. He was born April 21, 1932, in Cleveland County, a son of the late J. Q. Richardson and Dean Powers Richardson. Mr. Richardson served in the United States Army. He was a retired truck driver and construction worker and was a Baptist. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Verna Richardson; son, Ronnie Joe Richardson; sister, Macel Ashcraft; great granddaughter, Faith Reed.

Mr. Richardson is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Randy Reed; brother, Rex Richardson; three sisters, Betty Jacks, Louise Jacks all of Rowell, Linda Taylor of Rye; five grandchildren, Chris Reed, Shannon Reed, Joey Richardson, Ryan Brent and Ashley Richardson; four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a .m., Thursday, August 18, 2011, at Buie Funeral Home with Brother Jackie Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
