Joe R. Kell, 95, of Searcy, passed away peacefully February 22, 2020 at Unity Health in Searcy. He was born January 22, 1925 at Walnut Ridge to the late Ernest and Elizabeth “Betty” Madden Kell.
Mr. Kell graduated from Walnut Ridge High School and went on to serve in the US Army during WWII. He was a hard-working individual with a long career as a Masonry Contractor. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, lastly serving as a Deacon at Foothills Church of Christ. He loved to fish, duck hunt, and work in his yard, but most of all, his family was his life.
He married Treva Colburn Kell December 24, 1948 at Hoxie who survives. He is also survived by three children, Sherry Harrison (Russell) of Searcy, Joe Kell (Karen) of Nashville, Arkansas, and Scarlett Smith of North Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Rusty, Luke, Tyler, Reed, Kirby, Clayton, and Grant; as well as six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7 Monday, February 24, 2020 at Foothills Church of Christ. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church with burial following at White County Memorial Gardens.
