Joe Brewer

Joe Brewer age, 71 of Rison, Arkansas passed away March 18, 2012 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born August 4, 1940 in Rison (Cleveland County), Arkansas the son of the late Joe Oliver Brewer and Alcy Malinda (Jones) Brewer. Joe retired from the United States Air Force in 1980 after having over twenty years of service. He was proud to serve our nation especially serving in Vietnam. After retiring he was the owner operator of Saline River Surveyors and Saline River Mountain Cur Kennels; He was a member of Pine Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a lifetime member & former board member of Original Mountain Cur Breeders Association. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Jean Rhodes-Brewer; two sons, Joe Anthony Brewer and his wife Sandra of Spring, TX and Wesley Daniel Brewer and his wife Bree of Greenwood, AR.; three daughters, Michelle Todd and her husband Chris of Lowell, AR. and Shannon and Tina of Texas; two sisters, Martha Thompson and her husband Ronald of Rison, AR. and Linda Butcher and her husband Tommy, also of Rison, AR.; Mother-In-law, Margie Hedden Rhodes of Rison, AR.; ten grandchildren, He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other extended family and many friends that will miss him dearly. Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Pine Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Grapevine with visitation from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service with Rev. Steve Moseley officiating assisted by Bob Robbins. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Grapevine. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice-Pine Bluff 201 Frankie Lane, White Hall, AR. 71602 or to the Pine Ridge Cemetery Association.
