Joan B. Mcclellan

Joan McClellan age 74 formerly of New Edinburg died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado. She was born October 13, 1934 in New Edinburg, a daughter of the late Chester and Velma Bryant Arthur. Mrs McClellan was a member of Bible Baptist Church in El Dorado and a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband J H Mack McClellan; brother, Buddy Burks; nephew, Tim Burks.

Mrs. McClellan is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Joanna McClellan, Donnie McClellan of New Edinburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Billy Love of El Dorado; two sisters, Catherine Williams of Eupora, Mississippi, Helen Baker of Alma; five grandchildren, Jimbo McClellan, Billy McClellan, Jonathan Love, Stephen Love, Amanda Love; five great grandchildren, Brooke Manley, Phoenix McClellan, Jonathan Love, Nathan McClellan, and Jenee Love.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Buie Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Weido and Reverend J.D. Weido officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove cemetery in New Edinburg. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2008. Pallbearers are Jonathan Love, Jimbo McClellan, Billy McClellan, Jonathan Bridges, Bradley Golden and Pete Hardman. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Bible Baptist Church in El Dorado. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
