Jimmy Douglas Stover, age 74, of Rison, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023. He was born March 13, 1949 in Cleveland County, Arkansas to the late Elbert and Marie Cash Stover. Jimmy was a graduate of Woodlawn Highschool class of 1967 and was a retiree from the Cotton Belt Railroad. Jimmy enjoyed spending his free time watching as many Woodlawn Baseball games as possible, he was their biggest fan. He never met a stranger and made many lifelong friends. Jimmy loved spending time with his family and friends, he will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Blaine Stover, and one brother, Lee Stover.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta Stover, and his son, Jimmy Stover, grandchildren, Claire Stover, Emma Stover, Brynne Stover, Owen Stover, Lauren Woolley, McKensey Langley, and Jacey Andrews, great grandchildren, Brody Woolley, Finlee Andrews, Judah Andrews, Haydin Andrews, Everett Langley and John Brooks Langley, siblings, Margie Allred, David Stover, and Jerry Stover, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Center Missionary Baptist Church in Rowell, with visitation from 12:00 p.m., until the time of the service.
