Jimmy Charles Harris

Jimmy C. Harris age 72 of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born September 24, 1937 in Quitman, Arkansas, a son of the late James W. Buck Harris and Athie Juliebelle Ward Harris. Mr. Harris married JoAnn Jones on March 3, 1978. He was a retired machinist with Phillips Lighting, and a member of East Side Pentecostal Church of God. Mr. Harris was also preceded in death by one brother, Billy Harris; two sisters, Peggy Jean Henry, Louise Bevins.

Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, JoAnn Jones Harris of Pine Bluff; two sons and daughter-in-law, Lydell Harris of North Little Rock, Michael and Charlie R. Kimsey of Pine Bluff; one daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Brent Ward of Pine Bluff; step daughter, Mary Payne of Pine Bluff; one brother, Teddy Ray Harris of Villonia; four grandchildren, Amber Stone, Zach Kimsey, Courtney Quarles, Brandon Ward; one great grandson, Kegan Lott

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ralph Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2010 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Matthew Lott, Zach Kimsey, Brent Ward, Brandon Ward, John Stone, Brian Jones and Ronnie Hartsfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
