Jimmy Van Foster ,69, passed peacefully at home May 28, 2020. He was born to the late Van Buren Presley and Jossie Laura Bell Phillips Foster June 22, 1950 at Searcy. Jimmy married Brenda White Foster August 28, 1970 at Romance Baptist Church.
He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was known for his love for family and congregation. Jimmy was also known for his honesty. He worked as a mason for nearly 50 years, a trade he passed to his son. His work can be seen throughout the county. He spent his free time riding the four wheeler, playing with grandkids, and taking walks. He enjoyed the outdoors and being in nature.
Along with his parents, Jimmy was also preceded in death by his grandson, Zachary Allen Foster; and two brothers, Presley Foster and Jerry Foster.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; daughter, Alena Foster-Warren (Michael); son, Christopher Foster (Chastity); brothers, Johnny Foster (Ruthie), Cecil Foster (Margret), Roger Foster (Sylvia), Ricky Foster (Terri), and Frankie Stevens (Sue); sisters, Joann Fowler (Phillip), and Carolyn Trefethen (Larry); and four grandchildren, Tracy, Whittney, Wesley, and Shelby.
A Celebration of Life is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Liberty Baptist Church. All are welcome to attend. A special thank you for our family to Arkansas Hospice for their care and kindness.
