Jimmy Brashears, age 68, of the Hebron Community near New Edinburg went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Mr. Brashears was born December 10, 1946 in Pine Bluff, a son of the late Glen Brashears and Pauline Crowder Brashears. He was an employee of the Cotton Belt and Union Pacific Railroad for thirty-nine years and served in the Army National Guard. Mr. Brashears enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising cattle and spending time with his family. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Mr. Brashears is preceded in death by his father, Glen Brashears; mother, Pauline Crowder Brashears; brother, Jerry Brashears; sister, Lynn Fehr; father-in-law, Marvin "Buddy" Hall. He is survived by his wife, Tracy Love Brashears of New Edinburg; son, Jay Brashears of Bentonville; daughter, Jennifer Brashears of Dumont, New Jersey; step-daughter, Carlotta Thompson; mother-in-law, Frankie Hall of New Edinburg; sister-in-law, Mildred Brashears of Grapevine; grandson, Jacob Brashears of Bentonville. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Hebron United Methodist Church near New Edinburg with Reverend Boyd Savage officiating. Interment will follow in Hebron Cemetery near New Edinburg. Pallbearers are Bobby Stringfellow, Danny Best, Calton Hall, Mike Mitchell, Logan Hancock, Jamie Thompson, James Wiley Hall and Jeff Childress. The family will receive friends at their home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hebron United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison. (870)325-6216
