Jimmie Ray Mccann

Jimmie Ray McCann, age 90, of Rison, went to be with his Lord Wednesday, March 17, 2021.  He was born in Tinsman, AR on November 9, 1930 to the late Ebb and Nancy Simms McCann.  He was a mechanic for Jefferson County for twenty years.  Jimmie was a loving husband and loved spending time with his family, working in his garden, and attending church services at Full Gospel Church in Sheridan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, O.J., Troy, Holmer, and Grady McCann, sisters, Bulah Hall and Trudie Oliver.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Annie Mae Francis McCann, daughter Judy Ann McCann of Rison, grandchildren, Tabetha and Matt Berry, Cliffton and Megan Cummings of Rison, Selena Harris of McPherson, KS and Christie Mattox of Smackover, AR, great-grandchildren, Brendon Joe Cummings, Mason Berry, and Trinity Berry of Rison.

Pallbearers are Gary Lynn, Bobby Cummings, Edward Cunningham, Randy Turner, Paul McFarland, and Raymond Hall.  Honorary bearers are David Cargle and Pete Cargle.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison with Bro. Robert “Bob” Long officiating. Interment will follow in Earnest Cemetery in Tinsman.
