Jimmie Lee Messenger Jr., age 58, of Conway, passed away Friday, December 18th, 2020, in Springhill Baptist Medical Center in North Little Rock.

Jimmie was born in Rockford, Illinois to Jimmie Messenger, Sr. and Rita Messenger. He was a Christian in the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing basketball and football. His favorite baseball team was the Chicago Cubs. His favorite football teams were the Washington Red Skins and Kansas City Chiefs. At Christmas time, it was a tradition for the entire family to get out and play football. He enjoyed spending time with his family and made many fun and happy memories with them.

In addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 24 years, Glenda Faye Messenger of the home; three sons, Phillip Messenger of Conway; Jason Messenger (Shayelana) of Beebe; Dallas Messenger of Conway; one daughter, Nikki Plaza (Lorenzo) of Conway; three brothers, Robert Messenger of Little Rock; David Messenger of Conway; Andy Messenger of Fort Smith; one sister, Wendy Messenger Korsund of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Briley and Brayson; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tonya Sue Messenger

A memorial service will be announced in the future.
