Jewell Jb Britt

Jewell “JB” Britt, Sr., 76, of Searcy, passed away October 31, 2021 at his home.  He was born May 4, 1945 at Newport to the late William and Myrtle Isham Britt.
Mr. Britt was a hard-working family man.  He loved his family beyond measure and always willing to help his fellow man.  He was a lifelong truck driver for over 40 years and four million miles accident free.  He also owned and operated Britt’s Used Appliances in Judsonia for over 10 years.  As with any truck driver, he was an avid coffee drinker; he also loved to fish for catfish and eating it of course.  Watching old Western TV Shows was a hobby he loved as well.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Desiree’ Britt; twelve brothers; and eight sisters.
He married Georgia Curtis Britt May 12, 1979 at Lake Tahoe, California; she survives.  Other survivors include two daughters, Diana Thompson and Deana Conway both of Searcy; two sons, Chris Yocham (Rebecca) of Searcy and Jewell Britt, Jr. (Carrie) of Griffithville; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 11 until Noon Friday, November 5, 2021 at Sullivan Funeral Care with graveside services to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Searcy.
