Jerry "Jb" Baxter

Jerry "JB" Baxter of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas passed away on February 24, 2023. He was 85 years old. He was born to the late C.E. "Bo" Baxter and Grace Pierce Baxter on February 11, 1938. He attended Watson Chapel High School and graduated in 1956. He worked for Ben Pearson Archery for 33-years. He started shooting a recurve bow in April of 1963 and won State Field Archery Championship in August. He also won the State Field, Target & Indoor Championship from 1963 to 1969. He was voted "Archer of The Year" in 1972. He placed in the top 15 in 4 National Tournaments. He was a member of the Professional Archers Association (PAA) and Ben Pearson Advisory Staff. He was preceded in death by his parents and both brothers Charles Baxter and Joe Baxter.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews and longtime companion Pat Mosley & Family.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023, in Ramick Cemetery.
