Jerry Lee West

Jerry Lee West age 70 of Rison, died Tuesday August 7, 2007 at his home. He was born August 4, 1937 in Oakwood, Oklahoma, a son of the late Lemuel West and Blanche Knight Pruitt of Watonga, Oklahoma. Mr. West was a technician for Brevard County Florida Water Treatment Plant before his retirement. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and was a member of Rison Baptist Church. Mr. West was preceded in death by his father, Lemuel West.

Mr. West is survived by his wife, Gail Oyler West of Rison, whom he married on December 20, 2005; two sons and daughter-in-law, Christopher West of Northport, Florida, Andrew and Diane West of Northport, Florida; one daughter and son-in-law, Lorie and Steve Cochran of Venice, Florida; mother, Blanche Knight Pruitt of Watonga, Oklahoma; three step sons and daughters-in-law, Rex and Kathy Nunn of Oakdale California, Wade and Nannette Nunn of Sacramento, California, Bryan and Judy Nunn of Fallon, Nevada; one sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and John Rutz of Watonga, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Luke West, Choloe West, Taylor West and Casey West; ten step grandchildren, Michelle Nunn, Amanda Nunn, Branden Nunn, Cameron Nunn, Desiree Nunn, Cody Nunn, Austin Nunn, Ashley Nunn, Bryan Schweizer and Kristin Weddle.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2007 at Rison Baptist Church with Brother Wade Totty officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Pallbearers will be Rex Fore, Keith Koonce, Jeff Hurst, Pete (Garry) Peters, Vernon Dollar, Lamar Jennings, Herschel Garner, and Ronnie Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be Raymond Aud, Billy Knowles, Donnie Herring, Rodney Reed, Carter Jaggers, Ricky Fore, Cleve Reed, Jerry Thompson, Gene Herring, Steve Herring, Murry Freemen, Tommy Butcher, Buddy Boldon, Gary Goolsby, Jeff Turner, Charles Clay and Charlie Craig. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 10, 2007 at Oakwood Cemetery in Oakwood Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Harry Wayne Wile, Shannon Wile, James Wile, Maurice Oyler, Teddy Oyler, Tommy Keith, Anthony Keith and Branden Miller.
