Jerry Insley

Jerry Lynn Insley, age 58, of Pine Bluff went to meet his Lord on Monday, July 6, 2009. He was born on December 30, 1950 in Pine Bluff to James Edward Insley and Hester Ann Shandy Insley. Mr. Insley was raised in Pine Bluff and graduated from Dollarway High School in 1969 and Henderson State College in 1973. He was the owner of Pine Bluff Saw & Tool, Inc. for 32 years and was a member of Christian Fellowship Center where he operated the sound system for the church. Mr. Insleys hobbies were hatching and raising chickens, guineas, and bamboo. He also loved to read and study his bible. Mr. Insley was also preceded in death by his father and a brother, Jimmy Insley.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Eva Jeanette Hatcher Insley, whom he married on August 18, 1972; one son and daughter in law, Jessie Andrew and Connie Insley of Bradenton, Florida; one daughter and son in law, Chere Danita Insley Green and Chris Green of Pine Bluff; his mother-in-law, Juanita Hatcher of Pine Bluff; three grandchildren, Cody Alexander and Shawn Green of Pine Bluff, Abigail Fay Insley of Bradenton, Florida.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Buie Funeral Chapel with Mr. Oliver Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pine Bluff. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the funeral home. Pallbearers are: Bobby Hatcher, Chris Green, Bobby Allbright, Jeff Insley, Tommy Wooten, Dennis Philips. Alternate pallbearers are: Patrick Rester, Lugene Jasper, Derrick Davenport and Dale Davenport. The family will be at 2004 Oakwood Road in Pine Bluff. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
