Jerry Lee Cox

Jerry Lee Cox, age 70 of Kingsland, made his way into Heaven on July 13, 2020. He was born March 23, 1950 in Pine Bluff. He was the son of the late GE and Esther Cox. He retired from International Paper in 2007, where he was a power plant operator and a member of the Quarter Century Club. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his niece Renea Perry and nephews, Chris Murdock, Norman Green and Randy Frey. He was a member of Kingsland Masonic Lodge #430, he also served as an EMT and Volunteer Firefighter. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing his steel guitar.

He is survived by his loving wife Freda Cox of Kingsland, sisters, Patricia Murdock of Rison and Glenda (David) Peyton of White Hall. He will be deeply missed by many friends and family members.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
