Jerry Lane Casey

Jerry Lane Casey, 77, of the New Home Community in Cleveland County passed away at his home on July 15, 2022. He was born April 2, 1945, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late James Edward and Flora Mae Reed Casey. Jerry enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, but most of all he enjoyed spending his time reading out of the King James Bible, and he loved telling anyone that would listen, what an awesome God we have, he was a true believer of our Lord Jesus Christ. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing Hank Williams, Elvis and Johnny Cash songs.

Jerry leaves behind his wife Brenda Blundell Casey, whom he married 55 years ago on October 6, 1966, his daughter Sonja (Brad) Fogarty and a son Daniel Casey all of the New Home Community, three grandsons Shawn (Ashley) Ludwick, Matthew Ludwick all of Pine Bluff, and Cody (Rachelle) Casey of Virginia, 10 great-grandchildren Lynn, Christion, Preston, Aliyah, Jacob, Wyatt, Liam, Landon, Levi and Logan, three brothers, Larry Casey, Leonard Casey and Bill Casey and two sisters Bernice Carter and Joann Farnam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter Rachelle Lynn Ludwick, two brothers, James and Donald Casey and four sisters, Montez Box, Ellen Scruggs, Mildred Ann Casey and Doris Edna Casey.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Buie Funeral Home in Rison with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Harmony Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
