Jerry Wayne Carrington

Jerry Wayne Carrington, age 60, of Kedron, Arkansas, died January 4, 2014 at St. Vincent's in Little Rock. Jerry was brought into this world on September 26, 1953 at Davis Hospital in Pine Bluff by proud parents, Gladys and E.K. Carrington. Devastatingly handsome, Jerry was an avid sportsman, quick to recount each fish caught, deer outwitted, and duck foiled with effortless detail. Between hunting forays, Jerry worked alongside his father and brother at Carrington Electric Company in Pine Bluff. He tolerated muggy summer nights by watching baseball. He was quick with a joke. He held strong opinions on BBQ. He loved his mama's cooking. Jerry' s contagious laugh will be missed by all those fortunate enough to have heard it. Mr. Carrington was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Carrington is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Kimbrel and Leonard of Lamar, Arkansas, one son and daughter-in-law, Bucky Carrington and Marti of Omaha, Nebraska; grandson, Jack Carrington of Omaha, Nebraska; one brother and sister-in-law, Ed Carrington and Mary Ann of Pine Bluff; best friend Pop Prescott and Lisa of Rison. Memorial services are 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel in Rison. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
