Jennie Lequita Horn

Jennie Lequita Horn, age 69 of Rison, went to her heavenly home, July 8, 2022 at The Green House Cottages.  She was born November 12, 1952 in Hanford, CA to the late Sanford and Lois Hamilton Horn.  She graduated high school in Lemoore, CA and Pines Vocational School in Pine Bluff, AR. She worked several years as a private sitter and later as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Jennie loved to cook, especially tea cakes for her friends, and “adopted family” James L. and Lois Moore. Later, she only made chocolate chip cookies for cousins Myrl and Nancy Grace a highlight of trips to Rison. Jennie did beautiful needle point, and made many gifts of these labors of love. She enjoyed playing cards with Mrs. Grace Moore and her “ladies”, then with her friends and housemates at The Green House Cottages of Southern Hills.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Gail Horn Egar, niece, Barbara Ann Buckly, aunt, Adelaid Hamilton, and aunt, Brenda Hamilton, many cousins, special friend Barbara Romine, and special friend/caregiver Karyn Felkins.

Jennie loved her “Fur Babies”, not to be confused with dogs! Jennie is loved and will be missed greatly. Jennie requested no service and her ashes be scattered at a designated place.
