Jean Kay Black, 63, of West Point passed away on September 21, 2021, at Oakdale nursing facility. She lost her battle of 6 years to cancer. She was born April 6, 1958, in Searcy to Walter R Black and Rogean E.M. Black. She attended school in Searcy, graduated in 1977. She moved to Little Rock to attend trade school and later Beautician school. She later took a CNA certification and went into that field. Jean was a CNA for 40 years. Her last place of employment was Shenandoah where she loved to be at, even after retirement she was on call to help out.
Jean loved to go to movies on her days off, she also loved to invite herself to ride with you wherever you were going. If you were laughing, she would be also until you couldn’t remember who started it. She loved her nephews and nieces and was happy with their accomplishments.
Jean was proceeded in death by her twin brother Dean Ray, parents Walter and Rogean Black. Her brother Willie James, sister Gail Robinson and nephew John Williams. She leaves to cherish her memories Rose [Johnny] Williams of Little Rock, Theresa Black-Jones of Kensett, Jolean [Doug] Young of Beebe, Robert Black of West Point, Eric [Keela] Black of Kincaid Kansas. Eleven nephews and nieces, eight great nephews and nieces and great great nieces. Also, a host of Brothers and Sisters Of the kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday September 27, 2021, at Sullivan Funeral Care with cremation to follow.
